About

Our primary mission is to provide ample supplies of clean, potable water that consistently meets or exceeds all federal and state drinking water regulations for Monroe and its surrounding areas.
Overview

At the City of Monroe, we are committed to delivering clean and safe water to our residents through a robust water system.

Our dedicated team of professionals ensures the quality and reliability of our water treatment, distribution, and utility services.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The first water treatment plant was constructed in 1927 and finished in 1929, coinciding with the completion of the power plant originally built between 1920 and 1923.

Components

The system comprises three key components: raw water supply facilities, water treatment plants, and water storage and distribution facilities.

Service Commitment

The Water Division operates with a singular focus on service, combining excellent service with positive attitudes and personal integrity.
